About the #E-438 epic gear conic carbon boom 250-310 with wide tail:

Is the tube going in monocoque style around the front as well? Are there pictures of the booms with the wide tail as well??

Hi JW

The Epic carbon boom in all sizes uses a carbon front boom tube. It is a thicker diameter then the boom body. You can put a Streamline front end on the boom but it requires removing some of the plastic from the old front end. We will add some pictures of the new formula boom to the web site.

Stupid question perhaps, but is the 250-310 the same boom Tekknosport sells in Germany? And is it the same boom as the new KA Sail Australia booms? http://www.kasail.com.au/gear.html

Hi Kris:

The new Ka boom appears to be made in the same factory as the Epic boom. I do not know if all the details are the same. I have not seen the new Technosport boom. We will receive our first shipment of the new Epic booms in early December.

The new Epic gear carbon and aluminum booms are now in stock in the USA market. The supply is some what limited. The next container will arrive in March.
