Hi,
My windsurfboard is starting to develop some softspots, can I fix this in an easy way myself?

Hi Robin,
If you don't yet see any cracks in the laminate, the fix can be done in a rather simple way. Softspots are created most of the time by delamination of stress points. The delamination kan be in the sandwichmaterial or from the foamcore.
This is what you do: go get some epoxy and some medical 5ml needle (not the mettalic needle, but the plastic container, don't know the exact englisch word for it) .
Drill 2 holes in the weak spot area, and put the epoxy in one hole until it comes out off the other. Put tape on the two small holes and turn the board upside down. Wait a couple of hours to let the resin get hard and the next day you can use the board again.
If only the outer skin has came loose from the sandwichfoamplate, make shure not to drill the holes to deep.
If you have more questions, always welcome
