Who has ridden them in Europe? I'm curious to hear the news on them, Armand? Patrice?

I John,
I've had the chance to try the new S4 from Exocet and I was really astonished: incredible upwind/downwind speed, great sensations and comfort, this board is a revelation to me ( I'm more used to waveboards and in the summer I also like to ride Formula boards ). It's sooo fast and versatile.. and also jybes quite well unlike some other boards of that kind.
Guillaume, Exocet's France sales manager, also rode the board two days ago, his words were: "c'est de la balle" which translates litterally as "It's a bullet". Guillaume has been trying almost all the boards of the market since one and half year and knows what he's talking about !!!!
In my opinion the S3 and S4 will be a great success this spring.

How do these boards compare to the Turbo Boost range? Seems to be a little overlap as they are both categorised as slalom/free race. Looking at the brochure, technically, the S3 covers the sail range of all three TB boards (I assume the TB is more freeride?). What would you say the optimum sail range is for the S3 please. Also did you find the S3 to be more locked in, pressure on ankles, formula style sailing or do they have some manouverability for rougher water.

I would say the Turbo Boost are almost unbeatable on a downwind leg, they are true slalom boards, while the new S3 and S4 ride more like "mini" Formula boards, providing a more "racey" feeling and incredible upwind speed and angle, together with a good manoeuvrability.
Concerning the optimum S3 sail range I would guess 7-8,5 mē, but it depends on your weight....
Merry Christmas..
