What a difference it makes to use the lower grommet in my Saber 8.0. Even though they are really close together, going from one to the other makes the sail feel alot different. Is that why all the 2004's now have them?

The twin clew grommets that are on all 2004 Aerotech sails are multipurpose. The first is to allow for different height adjustment based on personal taste or height. By using the higher grommet it will make the leech slightly firmer down low which should give a little bit more low end out of the sail. Using the bottom grommet will add some twist and control which is better suited for higher wind. Also keep in mind that different boards will react differently to different clew heights. If your mast base is far forward and the sail is raked back a lot the upper grommet will be more comfortable. This can also be affected by fin size as well. It is best to experiment on your own and find what works best for you.
