Hi sirs!
What is the best/faster slalom board from Exocet?
For 5.9 to 7.5 slalom sails...
I'm confused about the S series, Speed Slider...
Regards
Pupo

Hi Pupo,
The S series are quicker and better performance oriented than the Speedslider line, they are featuring a high tech construction.
Speedslider are easier on the first approach for un-experience sailors.
S series will give you great capacity to go upwind and top control in all condition, severall magazines are testing the boards and the first coments from the testers are excellent "best in comfort" "fast" "best all around"

All the best

My favorite for those sailsizes is the TB65.
I've been using the board now in different conditions with and without the kit, and I like the board a lot.

If you are looking for ultimate performance, go TB, if you look for a more versatile slalom board to go also upwind from time to time, go S3.

There's a bit of a debate going on between Koen and John about the upwind kit. Patrice, which do you agree with?

Hi,
The purpose of the upwind on the Turbo boost is to propose a convertible slalom board, basically with the upwind you have a board easy to access and without you will have higher performance's.
I know that a lot of sailors are asking why we brougth this concept, the only reason is because we think that it brings the lowest drag possible at high speed.
The Turbo boost is extremly fast all around, with the upwind kit you will be able to put a bigger sail and use it in lighter wind.
Like Pupo said it is the faster board on a reaching leg in our line, it will not go as high upwind as a S, but if you want to go fast and look for different trim you will like the concept of it.

Thanks Patrice. I think my TB 75 is fast, and I like it. The upwind kit is a nice option. Thanks for letting me know more about your intention about the UW kit. I've taken John's advice and just used a bigger fin. The 53 seems to work fine.

Too Fat,

I would not call it a debate, but I have not yet tested the TB65 with a 44cm fin without UWK. Until now biggest I used was the 38cm and I liked the performance with and without the UWK.
I am fixing right now one of my old 44cm "race" fin's that should work perfect in this set-up with my 7.5 VMG.
